Corporate Culture

Computer Science Software (Pty) Ltd. originated in Germany, where the first development of an in-house financial software suite took place.

Confronted with technical limitations of the initial developent, the decision was made to develop an international version in South Africa, using the state of the art programming language Java and professional databases such PostgreSQL. Over the years our fully web based architecture got complimented by powerful microservices.

In May 1998 Computer Science Software was founded as a subsidiary of Computer Science Corporation (Pty) Ltd, who offered through its subsidiary, Computer Science Institute, highly-sophisticated diploma courses in IT accredited by the University of Cambridge (UK). Using the graduated highly skilled programmers for the development of software created a powerful synergy.

Through the purchase of the intellectual property of Computer Science Institute by Software Future (Pty) Ltd, Computer Science Software separated from Computer Science Corporation in July 1999.

As of August 1999 the development of software has taken place in charming offices, situated in the picturesque Cape Dutch building 'Berghshoop' surrounded by a lovely environment in Durbanville. Beautiful oak trees as well as a century old pepper and fig tree encircle the office, which indicate the great history and tradition of the place.

In November 2018 we outgrew our charming offices and moved to the Tygervalley area where we found nice offices with a good atmosphere. Providing an environment which is conducive to easy interaction between staff members and clients and at the same time focusing on exceptionally high performance is is key.
