Financial Needs Analysis System empowers Advisors

Financial advisers, increasingly reliant on fees from clients rather than commission payments from product providers, are turning to professional financial needs analysis systems in an effort to improve their quality of service and to enhance practice efficiency.

“In the process they reduce their compliance risk by providing optimal advice,” says Daniel Putra, the Managing Director of financial software company Computer Science Software, which markets PROFIDA Professional Edition - a leading financial needs analysis (FNA) system.

Financial advisers use FNA systems when developing personal financial plans for their clients. The process includes determining existing provisions before undertaking financial needs analysis to ascertain shortfalls in the client’s portfolio.

“Advisers who use FNA systems find it easier to comply with various laws including the Financial Advisory Intermediary Services Act (FAIS). FNA systems track the financial advisory process and assist with proper record-keeping, which is a requirement for compliance,” says Putra.

PROFIDA will be exhibiting at the 2008 convention of the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) being held on 28 and 29 May at Gallagher Estates, Midrand.

According to Putra, PROFIDA enjoyed strong interest in its offering at last year’s FPI convention with delegates impressed by the system’s versatility and ability to support life and non-life products, including short-term insurance and tax services.

PROFIDA boasts superior service levels, training and support and a competitive pricing structure. It will be available as a special at the FPI exhibition this year and a free PROFIDA CD containing a 30-day fully functional version is offered to delegates and visitors as a trial.

“Financial Services Providers who want to manage all of their services and products within a single system will find PROFIDA interesting. We include modules for the management of life, investment, tax-services and short-term insurance portfolios.

“In addition, we offer users who join the PROFIDA User Group during the conference a free upgrade. This enables the import of client information from a wide range of product providers, including Galaxy portfolios and other investment products, from Astute, the financial service exchange.”
